Job Description

Our growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist / Senior HR Administrator who is fluent in both English and Spanish. This hands-on HR professional will support all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, payroll support, and HR record management.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and bilingual HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys serving as a trusted resource for employees and leadership.

  • Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate onboarding, new hire orientation, and offboarding processes.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation including offer letters, status changes, disciplinary notices, and separation paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
  • Assist managers with performance management, coaching, and employee relations matters.
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and document findings as needed.
  • Partner with hiring managers to recruit hourly and salaried employees.
  • Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring activities.
  • Manage pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screenings, and employment eligibility verification.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions.
  • Administer leave programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment activities.
  • Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping administration.
  • Audit employee data to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Support OSHA, safety, and workers' compensation reporting requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with California employment regulations.
  • Coordinate employee training programs and compliance training.
  • Track certifications, training records, and employee development activities.
  • Support leadership with succession planning and workforce development initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.
  • Strong working knowledge of California labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, benefits, leave management, and HR compliance.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety regulations.
  • Builds positive relationships with employees and leadership.
  • Ensures HR compliance and accurate administration of HR processes.
  • Supports a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
  • Acts as a trusted HR partner in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
